This pages are a report of the building process of a variant of AR 5.5 WillyWing 9.50.
You can find more information about the original project on foildesign newsgroup.
My biggest thanks to Willy for his beautiful project and to Peter Thomas for the incredible foilmaker software.
Your work is really considerable and your decision to share your valueble discoveries with others speaks for itself.
You are a great example for everyone. I wish this pages could give even a small part of the aid you guys gave to me.

A special thank to my wife who helped me (not that much) and tolerated my childish enthusiasms with maternal patience

Here I've put togheter pictures and hints and tips i've runned across along the 4 months of cutting and sewing.
This is my first home made foil (not an easy choice to start with) and probably other foilwannabesewers could find some useful infos.

As i told before this kite is a smaller version (7.64 sqm) of the original (9.5 sqm).
This kite is a so called "sled" so projected surface is smaller (around 5 m) than flat surface.

You can download the WilsledAR5.5_764.kte file to use in conjunction with foilmaker (I used version 1.55) to make all templates you need to build the kite.

Now let's start the building process ---> 2- STARTING
